WarrantyForYou is a small editorial that reads service contracts the way a mortgage attorney reads a closing packet — slowly, line by line, with a yellow highlighter and an extra cup of coffee. We file test claims, document the response times, and rank providers by what they actually do, not what they advertise. Affiliate commissions help fund the work; rankings are never for sale.
What this site is.
WarrantyForYou is a small editorial outfit covering one stubborn question: which warranty actually pays? We review home warranty providers, extended auto contracts, appliance protection plans, and electronics coverage — line by line, claim by claim, with no commission-driven rankings.
We're written for the homeowner who's tired of glossy ads, the car buyer being upsold on the F&I sheet, and anyone who's ever been told their claim was denied because of a clause they never saw. Our voice is plainspoken, slightly suspicious, and high-trust. We name providers. We name plans. We publish the denial letters.
How we test claims.
- We file real test claims. Most reviews include at least one filed claim, recorded response time, dispatched technician, and either an approval, a denial, or an uncomfortable middle. We log and publish the cycle time end to end.
- Independent purchases. We pay for plans ourselves. When a provider gives us a comp evaluation account, we say so in the piece — and we still rate it the same way.
- Affiliate disclosed, not directional. We earn a small commission on certain links. That money keeps the lights on — it never buys a ranking, a star, or a softer paragraph.
- The exclusion is the review. Every plan has a schedule of exclusions. We read it cover-to-cover and pull out the three or four clauses that decide whether the rest of the policy is worth paying for.
- Corrections in public. We update reviews when a provider changes its schedule, raises rates, or changes hands. Updates are dated and labeled.
